Ocean Harmony at the Turfcutters Beer Festival

Ocean Harmony, the New Forest and Southampton Barbershop Chorus provided lively and enjoyable lunch time entertainment at the 19th/20th August weekend beer festival at the popular Turfcutters Arms in the New Forest at East Boldre.

Singing a selection of songs in four part harmony barbershop style from their extensive repertoire, Ocean Harmony. led enthusiastically by their music director and conductor Paul Keeping, entertained the large audience of CAMRA supporters while they sampled the wide range of excellent real ales on offer.

Our picture shows the chorus relaxing and quenching their thirst with a few pints of ale after the performance. The enjoyment and friendships generated by the regular singing engagements and weekly rehearsal is a great feature of the Ocean Harmony success and we always welcome new singers to join us. We meet for rehearsals at 7-30 pm every Wednesday evening at the Colbury Hall near Ashurst. At present we are particularly interested in recruiting new bass voices, but all are welcome. Find out more about joining us here.

Ocean Harmony would be pleased to assist and support pubs in the New Forest and Southampton areas which are planning beer festivals or similar events. We are also available to support charities in their fund raising, entertainment at parties, music and arts festivals or corporate events. Book us here.
