Friday 16th March Ocean Harmony entered the 2018 Southampton Music Festival. Hard work, Coaching, Commitment and excellent Chorus Direction from Mr Paul Keeping, brought their highest scores ever!
With a Chorus of 25, they scored 89 (Higher Distinction) in the Barbershop class, winning their 1st trophy of the year, with the same mark in the ‘Songs from the Shows’ class, sharing the same highest score with Romsey Singers.
Some of the adjudicator’s comments: “You all looked (and sounded) as if you were really feeling the music! …Great harmonies and you stayed in tune beautifully with great sonorous bass notes…. Great resonant singing…. You really engage with your conductor and your audience…. I love the beautiful sound you make as a choir.”
