Our Chorus Leader

Paul Keeping

Paul Keeping made a return to choir singing with the launch of Ocean Harmony in 2003 and is still getting the enjoyment he discovered on his first day.

“I arrived at Colbury Hall on week two of this new venture to find a group of men singing four-part close harmony in barbershop style and I was hooked,” he recalled.

In that time Paul - who started out as a baritone and now sings in the bass section - has served as Chairman, Secretary, Safety Officer, Publicity Officer and has led from the front as Chorus Director.

He added: “Amongst the many highlights of my time with Ocean Harmony are winning the Most Improved Chorus at the Barbershop Convention in Bournemouth, coming first in class at Southampton Music Festival and many visits to Harmony College with fellow OH members.”

“As well as the love of singing the chorus offers camaraderie, fellowship, the opportunity to entertain.”
