About Ocean Harmony

 About us

Ocean Harmony was formed  in October 2003 and has grown from the five people who attended the first meeting, to 30+ singers at present.

We  rehearse every Wednesday at Colbury Memorial Hall near Ashurst, Southampton under the direction of John Masters and are always looking to improve the way we sing and perform.

We are always looking for new recruits to grow our chorus: experienced singers and musicians, and enthusiastic beginners - everyone is welcome.

Colbury Memorial Hall is located on the junction of the A35 and A326. Drive on the A35 rowards Lyndhurst and the Hall is on the left immediately past the roundabout. Ample off street parking. what3words///unzips.campsites.pulp

 What we do

Look Great

Our four-part harmonies really do sound as good as we look!

Win Trophies

Our chorus competes in several friendly competitions throughout the year - as well as entertaining the public.

Sing to the public … come rain

It takes more than a downpour to put off our committed singers.

Sing to the public … come shine

Ocean Harmony singers are happy to help brighten all community events.

Celebrate improvement

Ocean Harmony picked up the ‘Most Improved Chorus’ award at a national competition on stage at the Bournemouth International Centre.

Success at BABS Convention

A great performance of Mary Poppins songs gave Ocean Harmony a top 12 finish in the British Association of Barbershop Singers in 2019

Survive the pandemic

Even the Covid 19 pandemic couldn't stop Ocean Harmony members meeting up for a sing … in this case ‘Irish Blessing’

Quartets and small group singing

We love to sing in small groups and Quartets to improve our barbershop singing and because it is just such good fun. Some of our members have formed their own quartets to practice and perform regularly together.
